A Super Sweet Blogging Award

Franny has been at it again, and shortly after the previous one, has awarded me with another, couple of, blog awards. I am floored. Super sweet awards, from a super sweet lady! Thank you so much!

This time, it is The Versatile Blogger Award, which I’ve received and blogged about before, so won’t do it again today; and the:

Super Sweet Blogging Award from Franny Stevenson of dr.franny and mrs.myself

super-sweet-blogging-award

The Rules:

  • Thank the Super Sweet Blogger that nominated you.
  • Answer five Super Sweet questions.
  • Include the Super Sweet Blogging award image in your blog post.
  • Nominate a baker’s dozen (13) other bloggers.
  • Notify your nominees on their blog.

The 5 Super Sweet Questions:

  1. Cookies or Cake? – I’d say that depends. Does it have chocolate in it?
  2. Chocolate or Vanilla? – Chocolate. Except if we’re talking about ice cream flavors, in which case I combine chocolate with a scoop of melon.
  3. Favorite Sweet Treat? – Stroopwafels. Because I love tea, and they go together perfectly.
  4. When do you crave sweet things the most? – When I’m tired. Sometimes I am too tired to go fetch them from the kitchen, but I still crave them. Just the other night I was craving chocolate and was lucky I had leftover Easter Bunnies ;)
  5. Sweet Nick Name? – “Kicsi Kincsem” (= My Little Treasure), the Chef’s sweet nickname for me.

And now, I am shamelessly going to ignore the requirement, and nominate only seven blogs instead of thirteen. However, these people are all super sweet, and as far as I know also like sweet things! ;)

Catherine Russell
Lynn Obermoeller
Tabula Rasa
Kenneth Hopkins
Janel Gradowski
Deanna Schrayer
Rukmini Roy

Have fun!

I’d also like to thank Franny for the Because You’re Fantabulous Award and the Awesome Blossom award. These two are no-strings-attached blog awards, so if you would like them, please take and post them to your blog/bestow as you see fit.

Love, to each and every one of you! <3

A couple of Blog Awards floated my way

Work is pretty demanding of my time, attention and… well, life, lately, but I finally made enough time (instead of going to bed early), to properly thank and acknowledge the following blog awards which floated my way through the blogosphere.

Thanks a million to everyone!

Given how wonderful the lovely people who awarded me are, it makes me feel especially honored that they felt I deserved the:

Liebster Award  from Catherine Russell of Ganymeder, and Franny Stevenson of dr.franny and mrs.myself.

Liebsteraward-1-300x176liebster-blog-award1The rules for passing on the award are quite simple:

  • Thank the person who nominated me,
  • post 11 facts about myself,
  • nominate 11 bloggers + notify them of their award,
  • and pose 11 new random questions for them.

So… 11 facts about me, in no particular order.

  1. Today, the Chef and I exchanged presents, just because we found two cute (highly perfect for each other!) magnets. Mine says “Keep calm and drink tea”, his says “Keep calm and drink coffee”.
  2. I’d like to be able to move to Brasov and live in the “Writer’s Quarter”, right where it borders with “Flowers Quarter”.
  3. Usually, clothes shopping for myself happens when/if my mom brings something cute home from the clothes shop she works in and I like said item. I dislike shopping for myself that much.
  4. My tea supply currently holds 8 different flavors. The current favorite is Vanilla Caramel. (And I’ll have to try Dandelion tea, since Cathy says it’s sweet!)
  5. The best latte I had, while out and about, was at Bibliotheque Pub with my friend Trisha, in Brasov. Crème Brûlé flavor.
  6. Love having met one of my online friends in real life in April! She’s an absolute delight <3
  7. I still am not rested enough since the beginning of April, since the shop merger thing at work.
  8. Melon is my favorite ice cream flavor. And melon-chocolate, my favorite combo.
  9. 1 and 8 are numbers which repeat themselves so much in my life. Won’t even go into it ;)
  10. This particular green I saw in the shop was never a shade I would’ve consciously chosen for drapes, but seeing it in my room, I just love it! Even upholstered my computer chair and had a decorative pillow made from the remaining fabric.
  11. I simply don’t have the energy to reply to Franny’s questions, nor to form new ones myself…

As that last one states, I’d like to ask those I nominate, to please go read and reply to Franny’s questions if you want to; or see the questions she or Cathy had to answer. If not, I’ll happily read the 11 random facts about yourself even without extra questions! :)

The Sunshine Award from Kira Lyn Blue

Here are the rules:

  • Include the award’s logo in a post or on your blog.
  • Link to the person who nominated you.
  • Answer 10 questions about yourself.
  • Nominate 10 bloggers.
  • Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blogs, letting them know they have been nominated.

And now for the 10 questions:

  1. Favorite color – blue.
  2. Favorite animal – cat.
  3. Favorite number – 81.
  4. Favorite non-alcoholic drink – Lime & Mint Lemonade.
  5. Favorite alcoholic drink – Coconut Mojito or Piña Colada.
  6. Facebook or Twitter? – I would’ve answered differently a year ago, but right now it’s Facebook. I like Twitter nearly as much though.
  7. Passions – Reading, writing, photography, creating anything handmade.
  8. Prefer getting or giving presents? – Giving. I can get really awkward when receiving them…
  9. Favorite City – Siracusa in Sicilia, Italia.
  10. Favorite TV Shows – The Big Bang Theory, Pretty Little Liars, The Good Wife, The Flintstones (cartoon), etc.

My nominations for both of these, or the one they haven’t yet received:

Catherine Russell
Franny Stevenson
Kira Lyn Blue
Tabula Rasa
Mark Koning
Nessa
Kenneth Hopkins
Bellanda Inparis
Becky Povich
Janel Gradowski
Deanna Schrayer
Rukmini Roy
Laura Besley

Hope everyone has fun with these! Looking forward to your facts and answers ;)

PS: I’m generally awful at the whole remembering who awarded me with what around the blogosphere, so I hope I haven’t forgotten about someone/something! Please remind me if so.

Speaking of Love…

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Because it is February 14th today, and because I don’t believe any type of love is meant to be celebrated on only one certain date, come read my short essay about writers’ loves – writing, and taking one whole day to indulge in only that.

It is up over on Friday Flash Dot Org, under “This precious thing…” title. Come read it and let me know what you think!

Question for You

Today, I have an article up on Friday Flash Dot Org, discussing ten great things to gift writers.

Will you please drop by and tell me: Would you be happy to receive any of the thing listed in there? How do you shop for the writers (and readers) in your life? Any ideas I could steal? ;)

More than just a train ride

Have you ever taken a train ride you could describe as “magical”? Sure, that depends on whether you actually like train rides. But in case you don’t, I assure you, magical train rides do exist! Especially if you’re riding a forest steam train ;)

Come join me “Riding The Carpathian Forest Steam Train” over on Milliver’s Travels today. You’re in for magical views and experiences!

Of precious things

Today, I am pleased to interrupt this non-blogging Tuesday and direct your attention toward the Fear of Writing website, where my guest post “This precious thing of relaxing and doing what we love” is featured today.

It is a rewrite of my last assignment for Milli Thornton’s Ace Your 10K Day online course, and I am particularly proud of this piece and my achievements.

Come read it and let me know, in the comment section there, what you think.

Do you ever pamper yourself with taking a whole day for writing? How much, if at all, do you prep ahead of time for writing? Do you experience days when nothing goes right, and then in ten minutes your whole day shifts around and you end up writing up a storm?

Road trip to nowhere in particular

Have you ever had one of those? A road trip to nowhere in particular? A road trip just for the fun of it? To get out on the road and end up … well, anywhere?

My travel article on Milliver’s Travels, “Romanian road trip, just for the fun of it” is about just that today. Wanna join me for the ride?
