Time for busting myths

Back in 2016, I attended the TEDxCluj event organized at the Florin Piersic cinema in downtown Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Its theme was myth busting and there were several interesting topics to listen to.

To see the picture I took of the sign stuck on the washroom door (it’s totally worth it!), visit Milliver’s Travels and read my travel article about it, “Funky Signs: Mythbusting at TEDxCluj”.

A scenic running event

I re-discovered the Romulus Vuia Etnographic Park during the Hoia Cross this year, which was the perfect reason for me to visit the outdoor museum for the first time in about twenty years!

From ruins to beautiful, functioning museum

Remember those days when we didn’t have digital cameras? One would go visit a beautiful place, and take a mere ten or so photographs, half of which turned out blurry after developing them, and we were still content?
Well, I am infinitely happier now with my digital camera, than I was in 2005 with the old one.

Because this way, I could take those few old photographs of the Castle of Diósgyőr and compare them to the times I visited again in 2010 and 2015! The castle’s restoration during this time period makes these pictures even more precious to me.

Want to see the difference? Head on over to Milliver’s Travels, where my travel article “The Castle of Diósgyőr’s road to restoration” is ready for your viewing pleasure.

Every five years, my roads led to Miskolc

As I state in the opening line of my latest travel article, Visiting Miskolc, Hungary during the winter holidays, I first visited Miskolc in 2005, and it just so happened that I re-visited this city in Hungary every five years after that.

Head on over to Milliver’s Travels and find out what it is that kept me going back! Even if shudder you don’t find my reasons interesting, the photos are well worth the time and mouse click ;)

The place to escape from the hustle and bustle of London

I loved it when I stayed a few days at my friend’s place near Finsbury Park, but I noticed that people are just as hurried and stressed in downtown London, as they are here in my city. So, it was nice to have stayed at a hotel in Kingston for the work days of that week and notice for comparison the slower pace of living there.

Come on over to Milliver’s Travels to read my travel article, Kingston Upon Thames: escape the hustle and bustle of London. and see some of the most beautiful sights of the town.

Innovative ways to dispose of chewing gum

While I visited London, UK for both work and fun last summer, I noticed something really interesting. An innovative way to dispose of chewing gum!

I found it so great, that I had to take a picture. Go see it over at Milliver’s Travels, along with a little more info on the solution in my short travel article, “Funky Signs: Stick Your Gum Here!”.
